They instantly remind us of Kings Of Leon, so that alone says a lot. It’s hard to channel such a super band but they pull it off by adding their own personal touch. The Reveurs have a striking bass/cymbals combination that only surpassed by the amazing guitar solos. In short, they are good.
The Reveurs describe themselves as “a four piece Manchester based rock/indie band whose sole purpose is to write and perfom anthemic tunes that will stick in your head”. The band is formed by Gary Nelson (Vocals/Guitar), Ian Brewster (Backing Vocals/Guitar), Thom Bedford (Backing Vocals/ Bass), and Ben Devenport (Drums). They are relatively new, only starting out since last year but they seem to have become little darlings to the critics. And for good reasons I might add. I first heard “Control”, the first song on their self-titled E.P. and automatically fell in love. The songs all have that dark feel to them which perfectly suits Nelson’s voice. It's been on repeat for a while now but I am certainly not complaining. The only complaint I do have is that there are only 4 songs.
We're hoping for more. Soon.
