Sometimes, the only way to know if you've had a good week is by knowing what songs were stuck in your head each day during that week. They are the ones that let you know if it's been a good week (house, funk), or a bad week (sappy, romantic). No matter what kind of song was in earworming it's way into your brain, one thing is for sure, it got you through yet another week. Have a listen at how our week has been...
Started out pretty sad, to be honest. But how else could we feel? It was Monday! However, Labrinth, the genius, gave the world the gift of "Jealous", and we are so so so grateful. Because some Mondays are far more rough than others and only amazing, beautiful music will do. | Yeah, we get angry some days and it's not all the time that metal or rock is what we feel like listen to. When that happens, like it did this past week, we are happy to have Ed Sheeran and "You Need Me, I Don't Need You" to help us calm down. Plus we are never tired of the video. Hypnotizing! |
With "THINK" by Kaleida, we get to a more calm but introspective state of mind. Very atmospheric, it was a great choice to add to the John Wick soundtrack plus it hits all the right spots to get you in all kinds of moods. Not just a great song, it's perfect while we concentrate on our deeper issues: "Does he/she really love me?", "Where am I going with my life?" "Why is it only Wednesday?". | Though he's virtually disappeared after his mega tune "Somebody I Use To Know", Gotye had many different other great songs. Songs such as the here chosen "Hearts A Mess". It's easy to recognize the Gotye sound and the message is simple and clear. The melody is catchy and it's very very hard to stop singing and whistling... two days after. |
Well you KNOW Friday is here, when "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars starts playing. The addictive and upbeat tune is the anthem of how we feel on this day and a preview of things to come during the weekend. Admit it, as much as you want to, it is humanly impossible to feel sad or not dance once . And yes, we are (proudly) dancing as we're typing this. | |
