Nothing beats a good bass, especially when it's accompanied by one of the best guitar riffs ever. X Ambassadors and Jamie N Commons clearly understood this when they've decided to make "Jungle". They knew that rock and roll made everything great. But they've asked themselves what could ever make this song better? And then they brought out Jay-Z. It can only go down from there...
We all know it can't always only be good, now can it. Unfortunately. After weeks of good music, I've hit one very bad one. As you know I always try to avoid negative comments and prefer to just not post the song or any comments about it. But this one, just like 'The Fox' and '#Selfie' before it, had to be posted. There is a limit to mediocrity, people...
She has recently released a new album that's already top of the charts. Is one of the top female artist of her genre and her latest single is our Song Of The Day. Lana Del Rey has come back to secure her position as one of the best of her generation. But aside from being one of the best songstress, "West Coast" is the best song for this Sunday.
I was getting a little desperate about finding some decent new music, more precisely from new artists. Don't get me wrong I love some of the mainstream and established artists out there, but there is just something about finding a new artist that makes you feel like you found something extra special. Like it's a buried little treasure, that you've searched hard to find. I don't really care for genres, I'm more about the song. The artist doesn't matter either; I've seen artist come up with one amazing tune after 10 crappy ones, so... This one, just caught my ear and I thought I'd share it with you.
Remember a few weeks ago, I had mention, as one of my "Discoveries", the band Coasts, with their fantastic song "Ocean". I guess I found them at the right time because they have just released another track and it is as wonderful as the previous ones. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you "Tonight", Coasts's future hit.
This song might be "Song Of The Day" but I can honestly qualify it as Song Of The Week. I do not believe that there has been a day that's gone by this week that I haven't been shamelessly singing, humming or whistling this song, to everyone's despair. Paloma Faith's latest single is so beautiful, it's so soul, that it's impossible not to love.
If you are like me and work 6 days a week away from home, then you will totally understand why I love this song. Not only is it by Naughty Boy, an artist that I love, but it's cheery and gives the hope and strength to the ones longing for their own bed, house or family, like me.
Kasabian's newest record "48:13" seems like it's going to be quite the album. It's out on the 9th of June, but we are definitely already loving it, thanks to their first single, the socially sarcastic, funny and awesome "Eez-Eh", officially out on the 2nd of June, but today's Song of the Day.
Both Royksopp and Robyn are artists that I've liked separately for a while now. Nothing more than like. They music were pretty contrasting but decent in their own way. After having heard "Do It Again" and the snippet (future massive tune!) for "Monument", I have to wonder why have they waited so long to collaborate??
I've been a fan of Sam Smith since the first listen of "Nirvana". Still totally in love with it by the way. But this latest song, thought it's been out for a while now, is almost unreal. A fair warning, "Stay With Me"s not for the ones who want to me motivated or awaken. The rest can read more and enjoy...
